Konji ::::: Horses

During a short holiday up north, one of the things we did was visit a horse farm for a bit of horse riding. It was only my second time sitting on a horse, but again a fun experience, although with a much less intense adrenaline rush than some years ago in Mongolia, when the locals seemed to assume we had all been doing it since we were little kids.

Of course I had my camera with me – it was a welcome change from shooting all the kids and adults. The horses turned out to be models one can only wish for: smart eyes, wind-ruffled manes and natural-born at posing :)

Poroka: Maibritt & Kim

Super sta vsak zase, skupaj še bolj! :)

There’s probably few people I can still remember where and when exactly I met them for the first time! Well, Maibritt’s definitely not one of them! It was an evening in Sydney ages ago, where a few of us staying at the same hostel got together at a nearby pub for a drink or two. I ended up making friends with six people (Maibritt was one of them) that are to blame I saw much less of Australia than I had initially planned. I stayed in Sydney way longer than I was going to, but never regretted it. When you are lucky enough to meet such great people, it’s worth seeing less and spending time with them! It took quite a bit of effort and some flying around Europe for us to keep in touch, we’re all from different countries after all. But where there’s a will, there’s a way, so there was no shortage of reunions all over Europe. Fast forward 11 years and I got an invitation to the wedding in Denmark. Of course, I had my camera with me :)

Maibritt in Kim, thanks again for having me over! You’re both great as it is and together even more so! The wedding day was all one can wish for: sunshine, laughter and good mood galore, family and good friends – and that’s all you need! In 50 year’s time I’m hoping to take photos at the golden anniversary :)

Rami

On Friday, when Jernej – a friend of mine who could easily open a restaurant himself – was pampering us with another of his culinary masterpieces and we were eating bulgur, I remembered another feast a few months ago. Back then I was at a friends’ post-wedding/anniversary get-together with heaps of Middle Eastern food prepared by Rami, a Syrian living in Slovenia! Finger lickin’ good! It’s about time I tried one of the ‘must make’ recipes I’m so good at collecting.

Male misli

Večino časa pred mojih objektivom res stojijo otroci, ampak tu in tam najdem tudi kakšno odraslo ‘žrtev’.

I mostly do family and children photo sessions, but occasionally I do get to take other kinds of photos too. Nataša, a fellow translator, needed some photos for her website and Tivoli Park seemed like an excellent choice – who says photos of this kind have to be taken indoors, in a dull office or something?! Nataša says standing in front of the camera is nowhere near the list of things she likes doing (to put it mildly), but she did great! A real trooper, she was!

And if you happen to need a translator, she’s a perfect choice for you: http://www.malemisli.si/. Shameless plug: let me remind you I’m a translator myself too, so you’re more than welcome to contact me too:)
